As I've conjectured here before, it seems the rites of passage for Tory leaning PMs include 1) breaking election promises 2) slashing and burning services and infrastructure spending and, 3) involving the country in some kind of international conflict as at least a handy foil to deflect constituent discomfort with other government short-comings.

Mr. Rabbit now seems to have nailed the third leg of the trifecta?
