The one good thing about the slow and inconsistent climb out of winter in the south-east of Australia this year has been the marked absence of bush flies in their usual plague proportions hell-bent to spoil otherwise pleasant walks by the likes of me.
However, with today's return to near clear sky and enjoyable all-round warmth ... THE LITTLE PERISHERS ARE BACK!
