All sorts of outcomes, emotions, political messages and gravity of meaning are being attached to the result of today's federal by-election in W.A. Had it not been for the so-called political drama which unfolded in Canberra earlier this week... hardly anybody but the good burghers of Canning would've known there was an election in progress.
