Basil strikes again!
Last week marked the 40th anniversary of the TV comedy Fawlty Towers. At the height of the show's popularity (1970s/80s), I was asked to illustrate an opinion piece in a Health industry magazine, I can't
remember the detail but broadly speaking the management of a particular hospital was likened to the administration of John Cleeses' fictional guest house.
I did the drawing with a black Artline 200 usually reserved for reproduction on glossy stock. The illo was published in B&W with a hand-lettered caption... but for this outing I have type-set the same caption to balance the new space. The pale yellow balloon was added simply to highlight the text.
