Mr. Turnbull is already equating the 'victory' with a mandate to proceed with policies which doubtless contributed to fairly heavy coalition losses. With his government having to negotiate a new term littered with knife-edge prospects of passing any legislation at all, you'd think that 'big stick' tactics would be best put aside in the interests of progressive governance?
Then again, perhaps not in light of the political rabble which many western electorates seem happy to support these days?
